About Me

Ever since I can remember, the concept of justice was something that I had engrained into my understanding of the world. At three years old just before my baby sister was born, I sat my parents down and said that I would not be jealous, and would accept having a sister, only is they treated us equally, 50:50, whatever she got I got. Little my little this seed grew and equity became a huge part of my mission project. Little by little that 3 year old moved countries learned to appareciate different cultures, different ways of life, and learned the importance of law making and public policy within them, as well as how people of different socioeconomic backgrounds, races, religions felt with the law.

At eleven years old I read Becoming by Michelle Obama. I can confidently say that this view changed my life. At the time I was living in Spain, who does not have nearly as many black people, and consequently doesn’t suffer from the same levels of racial discriminations as the US. Of course I had read and learnt about the slaves in early American history, but, at that age, I did not realize the extent to which is still occurred. It completely changed how I looked. It is sad actually that an eleven year old little girl has to suffer through finding out the disgraceful ways in which our law makers do not protect every citizen. I aim to one day prevent little girls from reading a book about the struggles of the first American female President, I aim to normalize the role of minority in government institutions and make the law accessible to all.

As a current Senior at Princeton High School, I plan to double major in Linguistics and public policy because they both come together too solve my main purpose and goal for the future; making laws and government policies adapt and just for all people. Both majors embody what I am most passionate about, and have spent years of my life waiting to devote my complete attention to.
